So, I've managed to get everything set up fine. PyPrp plugins exporting ages correctly from Blender, ULM able to find user ages, new book in Relto is there. All good so far. However, when I open the user age book and click the linking panel to any user age, the loading bar displays, loads fully, and then Uru shuts down. This doesn't effect the Cyan ages- I can get to all of them just fine. Linking stones work as well.

Does anyone know how to fix this? I'm running Windows XP, with Uru: CC, ULM RC5, Blender 2.45 and Python 2.5 with all the extra little bits recommended on the wiki.

Which Ages have you downloaded and tried?

I've got BoxAge, TunnelDemo3, FuncChk01, and Tutorial. I downloaded BoxAge and TunnelDemo with ULM (from the public ages tab) and I can link to them successfully (first linked to them today, sorry about the exaggeration in the first post). Tutorial and FuncChk01 were manually put into my personal ages tab- I'm currently making Tutorial with Blender (following this tutorial) , and I got FuncChk off the wiki too, and followed the instructions here.

It seems that ages which I compile (is this the right term?) myself in blender cause crashes, yet those which others have compiled work. The linking animation for Tutorial and FuncChk01 is rather jumpy, my avatar places his hand on the book, then disappears insted of fading. The linking noise is jittery too. As I said before, the loading bar is displayed, loads fully, and then Uru shuts down. Blender successfully compiles Tutorial and FuncChk, judging by the console.

This is generally caused by the Sequence prefix ... are you setting your own Ages with unique numbers ?

Hmm.... I believe that I changed the sequence prefix on Tutorial (whether it was unique or not... I have no idea), but didn't on FuncChk, assuming it would have a unique prefix. I'll change them both, and see what happens.

Does the plugin assign prefixes to ages upon import? That could be a reason why FuncChk didn't have a unique prefix.

I can't remember what FuntionChk's prefix is ...but ALL the ages you create will have the same one ... 100 ... so if you make more than one age without changing them, they will crash Uru..

Okay, I've changed the prefix for Tutorial, but when I attempt to export it with the option 'Generate release (.age)', blender comes up with the error shown in the attachment. FuncChk comes up with a similar error involving .wav files.

oww, the annoying bug in the vertex groups strikes again.

Basically: I made a mistake in the export code that reads out vertex groups, and don't have the time to fix it.
For now, make sure that all vertex groups are removed. (IIRC they're in the edit screen in normal object mode, and in the leftmost part of the panel)

I followed your advice Trylon, and the age exported without any errors! woo! However, after trying at least five prefix numbers which I made sure were unique, Tutorial still causes Uru to crash. Just to see if it was to do with something in the age, I made a small age which consisted of a textured ground plane, and a link in point. After attatching a unique sequence prefix and making sure there were no vertex groups, I exported the age and tried to link. Uru crashed!

The problem appears to be with my PyPrp plugin or something. I'll reinstall it, and try again.

Ditto. The same problem. Everything seems OK, but when trying to link to FunkChk01 I always land on the desktop.
