Blender 2.46 RC3 is released
For all you age creators - http://download.blender.org/release/Blender2.46rc/
Out of the dark we came, into the dark we go. Like a storm-driven bird at night we fly out of the Nowhere; for a moment our wings are seen in the light of the fire, and, lo! we are gone again into the Nowhere.

Now, this begs the question ... will the latest plugin work with this new version ? or should be hold off downloading it until we hear otherwise ( that's what I'm gonna do ...
)

when it comes to Age creation ... "DOH" seems to be my middle name...

Re: Blender 2.46 RC3 is released
The plugin appears to work perfectly with blender 245.17 (246 RC3). At least, it successfully exported TunnelDemo and all of it's features. Given the amount of stuff in there, I'm going to take that to mean it works.
However, installing the PyPRP scripts may be a little more difficult for windows users not familiar with the windows ApplicationData folder setup. The ".blender/scripts" directory is no longer contained in "C:/Program Files/Blender Foundation/Blender", but in "C:/Documents and settings/<UserName>/ApplicationData/BlenderFoundation/Blender"

Any word on what new features we get?

Ooooo. Looks like from what Nadnerb said we'll have to add to the Wiki. I wouldn't delete the part of the wiki that explains it for ver 2.45 and earlier, as some will keep that version, and you also have new Writers that just downloaded 2.45, an may still have it when they get to getting the plugin.
so maybe add to the Wiki explaining how to install the plugin for 2.46 then.

That would be 2.46 RC3. 2.46 hasn't been released yet. If anything; just add a "Known to work with Blender 2.46rc3" with the caveat about the change in the .blender/scripts directory.
Re: Blender 2.46 RC3 is released
RC3 is the last pre release of the program, intended for experts and developers to test and make sure they have forward compatibility, and make sure there are no critical problems.
I was on there last night, and someone mentioned that it doesn't work with Mac too well
In any case I hope the plugin devs here can verify Nadnerb's test that all works ok with RC3 with the current SVN

I tested with the latest SVN. I always use the latest SVN, and sometimes newer.
Also, the real issue with the location change of the scripts folder is that the "ApplicationData" folder is a hidden folder, and is invisible to those without "show hidden folders" enabled, which would probably be most of the newbies attempting to install the plugin for the first time.

I guess it's time for an installer.
Could be a simple batch file or VBscript.
