Help with Rad winning ages.
Help with Rad winning ages.
Can someone please tell me how to view the winning ages please? I went to the page where up download them, but after downloading them, I as clueless as what to do next.
Re: Help with Rad winning ages.
You have to unzip the files into their appropriate folders inside your CC installation:
age, fni, prp and sum files go into the dat folder
pak files (if any) go into the Python folder
sdl files (if any) go into the SDL folder
ogg files (if any) go into the sfx folder
Then you can place the age links into books with the ULM.
I wish I could make it easier than that but unfortunately the contestants have used different folder structures in their zip files. So simply extracting everything to the root of your CC folder would create a big mess.
If that sounds complicated your best bet is to wait until the ages are released through the ULM.

I'm so glad the ages will be released in the ULM. Do you know how soon that will happen?
Re: Help with Rad winning ages.
I hope I'm in the right place, just wanted to repeat what I said elsewhere:
Congratulations, Lontahv, Whilyam and Andy, WELL DONE!!! And thanks sooo much for your efforts you put into it all, it is appreciated and if and when MORE comes back, I shall partly "blame" it on all the hardworking people in this community!
And of course let's not forgot the OTHER contestents, well done too, and you deserve a reward too... you are a LOT braver than most of us!

Re: Help with Rad winning ages.
I couldn't seem to get into my CC installation, but I was able to put Andy's age into the ULM myself and it works! now to try the others. Thank you for telling me how to do it.

How do I download GPN Milano's age? the file was a .rar file on the wiki, and I didn't work on my computer...
Re: Help with Rad winning ages.
You can open rar files with WinRAR. It is shareware but after the trial period is over it will still work (although it displays a nag screen).

Or you can use ZipGenius! It's totally free, opens many currently used archive formats, and looks pretty decent too.
One day I ran through the cleft for the fiftieth time, and found that uru held no peace for me anymore.

Re: Help with Rad winning ages.
Can't someone just put it in a Zip file or something, rather than download some other program?
