Sorry to double-post, but it seems relevant to the original topic: I believe something like 100 posts have just been deleted from mystonline.com. (I know Rawa probably didn't personally cause this, but he didn't stop it either, and it's an old problem.) There's your "community management" (read as "community manipulation") right there ;)

Re: RAWA is our new community manager
At the very least, the "Still hope..." topic completely *poofed*. Don't know what else, haven't had a close look.
But, stuff has definitely gone *poof*, indeed.

Yes, that's the one, thanks! This sort of thing happens often there. No notice, no apology, just *poof*. That's what I mean by manipulation: they want to manipulate what people think by pruning the thoughts they don't like, e.g.

What was that thread about? I don't know if I ever read it >.>

Re: RAWA is our new community manager
It was under Off Topic. Can't remember what it was.
Re: RAWA is our new community manager
I think it started as a thread about waiting and disappointment, but then Crisger joined in, and it turned into that for a while (I think some quotes from that thread are in this thread), and at some point it turned to GoMa, and I think it was the thread clammy posted the OBEY poster based off a Crisger quote(I think) that Karkadann took seriously. At the very end, kaelis, Nalates, and I were talking about how Andy was strongly against copyright infringement, but knowingly did it himself. I don't know if anything else might have been posted before it was deleted, but that's what I remember.

Well, just before the deletion, Dot posted a one word reply. "Goodbye." I'm interpreting that as a Ragequit, for now, but, eh.

There is one arrogant mod named veralun. He persists in these actions. Most of the other mods at least would PM you. A couple years ago I tried to talk with veralun about the deletions with no PMs and his reply, in broken English which was very hard to understand, was I should know the forum rules. There was no explanation of his actions and I have never been able to find and or figure out which rule he thought he was enforcing. I communicated with Chogon after this and asked what rules had I broken to be treated this way. All Chogon said was that the mods can and will moderate as they see fit. I was floored with Chogon’s reply. I wanted to post Chogon’s replies but Chogon preferred I did not and I do not know why but I am honoring Chogon’s preferences. The next thing I noticed was several mods quit and or stopped moderating. I think there was a major falling out with the old mod group and most of the decent mods quit and we are left with one major asshat. If you google veralun, you will find some very interesting stuff by him.
[edit1]
one of the threads is back with several pages worth gone.
