Awhile back I made these different version of what I thought the GOW logo would look like.

They aren't the best in the world and most likely could be done differently, but hey.

I like the second one. Very well done.

I agree, I like the second one as well. I feel like it's missing something though...like something else could be added to it...

I like the second one as well. I do agree that I think it is missing a little something. I would make the middle symbol at an angle, or add a very simple pattern in the red area.

Nice that we're deiscussing GoW logos again.
I tried someting similar a while back (see this link).

The second image in this first post I like best, but agree that it would be best slanted (though that might require a little redesign of the logo). I'm a bit thrown off by the yellow/gold in the first one. The silver/white in the second one actually makes the red stand out well, and also gives a bit of an "open" feeling.
