A request: idiot's guides (or something similar)

Because this idiot has managed to lose the Blender PyPRP menus... (posted a begging message down in those forums).

It would be really nice to have some "complete idiot" guides - especially for the Guild-created tools. I'm working it out mostly by doing it wrong and having to come here and beg for help :?

Stuff like how to install something, what tools don't play nice together (like my current mess, installing libHSPlasma and Plasmashop - plasma shop thorugh wine since I couldn't figure out how to get a native Linux install - and then the Blender plugin broke - I know it's temporary until the release of Blender 2.5, but still, the tools that don't play nice is something that's going to keep happening)

Just a thought from someone who hasn't spent as much time up to their eyeballs in code as our more senior Writers,

Katreeny

Well, we do have the installation guide at http://www.guildofwriters.com/wiki/Installing_PyPRP . However for those that do the plugin development, it's hard to judge what pitfalls the installation brings (I'm talking from my experience with other projects like Alcugs here, I don't use PyPRP - Blender didn't yet get into my head  ). So, maybe if you have some concrete suggestions where the installation guide is too short, mentions uninteresting details or whatever, it's easier to improve it.

Heh, after my HD did a nose dive, and I had to install Windows 7, I downloaded everything and was trying to get Blender and PyPRP to work.......

I got Blender 2.49 and PyPRP to work just fine.....

But then I needed 2.45 to work also (for importing) and I had to go back and redownload all the older versions of everything......then I had to set all the compatabilities for everything with Windows 7. By the time I got all that done, I was tuckered out.
