suggestion: pets on DI

I have Deep Island on my computer and I recently found out about a new shard called The Open Shell. I found out that you have to take switch the....folders each time you want to play either one.
I had a suggestion: How about COMBINING those two shards...or just having pets on DI? I really want pets but I don't want to have switch the folders every time...I actually don't have TOS on my computer because I would also have to uninstall DI and re-install it somewhere else.

Shards are not just technical. They are owned and operated by different people. They have different content that reflect the needs of their different communities.

I just found that out..so combining the shards is out of the question
but I just thought it would be nice to be able to have animals in DI

The problem is that shards you are comparing are two shards as different as an apple and a car.

DI shard (Deep Island) is an alcugs-based shard running on a HavoK engine and running with URU:CC files.

The TOC shard (The Open-Cave) is a MOSS-based shard running on a bad version of physX engine causing a lot of bugginess and running with MOULa files.

You might not see,and many other explorers are in your case also, the difference between the two since you have a Relto, a Nexus, Ae'gura, etc. But those two games (MOULa and URU:CC) are to be considered as two whole different games therefore the type of shards which run them are a world apart from each other.

It is all subtle but the differences are enormous.

So now that this is clear, what about the Pet Relto page? Well...it was made for a MOULa environment so...there is no way it can run on a URU:CC environment.

Let's turn the problem around then...

What about the fan ages that we find in DI shard or any other alcugs-based shard? Why can we cannot access them on a MOSS-shard? You have enough items already to have an answer. No compatibility.

I hope it is clear. And there is also the fact that even if it was possible, like Chacal said...the shards are runned by different admins.

Well for that you will have to be answered by a coder . I'm a glitcher that's all I'm good at.

There could be a possibility but as everything within the URU universe, it is all fan-based content. All ages, all stories, all relto pages, all servers, all quests (i'm talking for my parish here ), the Fun House, everything is given back to the whole community because some are willing to devote time at it.

A pet relto page on DI? Might be possible if someone is willing to (...and if the coding permits it, that I can't tell)

The pet page is using custom avatars, and as far as we know currently, there is no way to add a custom avatar to POTS. So, the chances of that page appearing on DI are rather slim, unfortunately
