We are having problems with setting up proper (FULL/WIDE SCREEN 16:9 as most laptops have) display on my partner's computer. We have gone through your instructions but we don't understand them. We don't know how to create a ini file in the first place. Can you please explain step by step procedure. After all the hassle we have gone through with the installations this come as a big disappointment. Please help. Thanks.

An .ini is file is basically a text file with settings. To create it :

1. Open Notepad
2. either type in, or copy-paste the text Diafero provides
3. File -> Save As this opens the file explorer. Navigate to the Deep Island installation directory
4. Change the value in "Save as type" to "All Files (*.*)"
5. Type in the filename "urustarter.ini"
6. Save

Now you can follow the rest of the instructions

N.B you don't have to type the forum topic in ALL CAPS

I'm not sure whether that is necessary with this method so could you please try it first? If it doesn't work , I can explain how to do that :)

You're on windows 7 right?

Open Windows Explorer
at the top Click Tab Tools
at the top Click Tab Folder Options
in the next window Click Tab View
Uncheck The seventh entry down Hide Extensions for Known File Types
