I must be doing something stupid. I'm following the guide for building a test age (blender 2.79, korman addon and drizzle offline KI) and the first time thru I was successful, able to walk around and just used the simple materials and textures however after adding some textures from my textures folder I save and export to my uru CC dat folder launch the game and then link to my testpage--- my avatar falls through floor and even when I go back to the simple materials and textures I still fall through. I'll delete the age from my uru cc offline dat folder and try again. Any help out there for the noob of noobs tks

Well I started again but I saved the first .blend file to compare the two. I looks like I must have rotated my empty spawn point. So now it works again. This noob will need to slow down, and be very carful when expanding the test age tks

Hello Kovich
Nice that you have found out the mistake yourself and can now continue working again. Without Blendfile it is difficult for outsiders to judge where the mistake lies.
But you will notice with time it is getting better and better. I myself are still with Blender 2.49.
That's why I can not say anything about Koman.
I hope you stick to your work. Take care

I know in Max if you rotate the start/spawn point sometimes you end up falling sideways, depending on how its been rotated, its that weird error that gave me the idea of walking on walls the ceiling (IE subworlds) which lead to Relativity. The only problem was the AV cam which is always stuck to the Z plane without a python file
Cyan's plazma engine is an unusual animal some of the glitches you may encounter can be used as part of the age or puzzle, just make sure the Mods know about it before they post it on there site.
one of the glitches like a paging error, similar to the lay over from MOULa can cause more problems then there worth

edit to add
here are some more Plasma glitches/oddities I made notes of

on the last one particle (attaching a particle system/emitter to a simple) if you have the particle system and texture settings for flame you can make a real cool fire marble that's realy on fire.
If you need the settings let me know I'll post them here later along with examples of some of the other weird stuff I stumbled on

I'd love to see that!

What I did assuming everybody knows how to make a simple (better known as a kickable) is combine aspects of this tutorial
http://wiki.openuru.org/index.php?title ... and_Rides)
that involve attaching subworlds and subworld dummies
with one or more of these

five tutorials on particles and particle systems

Hey guys,
I sent this message to Karkadann over on the GoW forum, but since you both messaged me here, here's the gist of how I got the fire working. I took a look at the MQ courtyard files to see how the texture looked there, and how the particle system was put together to get the basic idea of where to start. Rather than copy their settings I tweaked mine a bit to give it a slightly different look and feel but here's the basics:
First I made a 128x128 texture to use. You can check out some of Cyan's textures for particles to get an idea of how it should look, but basically it should be split into four tiles of different types of flames. The flames should be white/black/grey while the background is black. The color will be controlled by an animated ambient setting in the Particle material in Max. When you animate your ambient color, you'll only need something 100 frames or so long. I set my frames at 0 15 25 30 and 100. Your ambient color for 0 and 100 should stay at black while the middle frames animate the color for different shades of orange.
You'll also want to animate the size of the particles, both the width and height. the 0 frame should be at 1 while the end frame (I used 100) is at .01
Here's an attached picture for the settings i used in the particle system's roll out box:
You'll also want to attach an animated component to the particle system itself. At least i used one. you may not have too since the animations are in the particle system. I used one cause I wanted to have the fire go out so i animated the particles per second as well.
If you need anymore help with them just ask.
Chloe
PS: I almost forgot. You want to rotate the fire emitter object, I used a cube 2x2x2. But you want to rotate it locally so that the z axis points down, and the x and y are flipped as well. It should be 180 degrees on the x axis and 0 degrees on the y.
in a similar manner to the way I combined four different recipes to get this

GRINGO SALSA
2 lb. Pealed tomato's
1 med. Onion
1 4oz can jalapeno's or 1/2 to 1 cup chopped hot chili peppers
2 garlic coves
2 or 3 tsp. Red pepper
2 or 3 tbs. Chili powder
1/8 to 1/4 tsp. Cumin
1 tsp. Salt
1 tbs. Vinegar
Chop tomatoes and onion to desired consistency
Toss in to 3-quart saucepan
Add all ingredients to saucepan accept dried onions
Bring to boil reduce heat and simmer 10 to 20 minutes
Or until it's a little thicker if its still to thin after
20 minutes add dried onion and simmer another 5 0r 10 minutes
GRINGO GUACOMOLE
1 cup salsa
4 ripe avocados
about 1 tbs. lime juice
1 tsp. Salt
peal pit and smash avocados in to a thick green goo
Add all ingredients mix thoroughly and place in airtight
Container in the refrigerator for one hour
NOTES
PEALING TOMATOES
Place tomatoes in boiling water for 1 minute
then place in cold water. This will cook
only the peal, so it can be removed.
You don't need a tomato pealer.
2 or 3 tbs. Chopped dried onion for a thicker salsa
adjust heat by adding more or less red pepper and jalapeno's
and I must say with a little adjustment to the particle system and red pepper they both turned out rather well
