Importing with Textures

Post by Tyion »

Hi Guys!

Names Tyion! and i am an AgeBuilder with a question. Although I am not sure if it goes here or in the main builders forum, but hey it said plugins and this qualifies! so here i go. :)

Question!
Ok so i don't use Blender to build by Age's. I use it as an import. I am a Maya3D User [love this program! getting the latest version soon!!!] anyway the problem i have with importing my age's into blender is the texturing dosn't come with the model. So i was wondering is there a format that would allow me to import the Age with the Textures intact? I really dont want to have to retexture everything.

Thanks much guys!

Which format to do you use?
I know sometimes exporting using OBJ files keeps UV mapping intact.

.obj doesnt transfer the textures as well... it just holds the UV map for the textures, you just have to find the images you used with maya and set them to map with UV and your good to go.
