Does that mean that your mailer logs show that my lost messages were actually accepted by the GMX mail server? If so, I could confront GMX customer support with that.

I can't find anything in any log file about any of the missing messages...

So how do you know that they went out? :?: In any case, since you mentioned sendmail logs on IRC, I assume you have complete control over the e-mail system on that server? If so, could you turn up some log level to have the outgoing SMTP connections logged? I administrate a Mac OS X mail server that uses Postfix as its MTA and it logs the status of every outgoing SMTP connection, including the SMTP ID assigned by the remote server.

Anyway, here are the headers of a recent topic reply notification to my working e-mail address (all @ replaced by spaces for the spammers):

One thing I notice in comparison to the last working message to the now failing GMX address is that your server now identifies itself as "GSU.main", while it was "chirpspace.com" before. Perhaps that could be the problem? SpamAssassin on phi.ibone.ch at least notices it, and maybe for GMX this is reason enough to discard the message without notice? (That would seem a bit harsh, but you never know.)

Though I have enough control to monitor for and fix any dire problems on this server, I'm not at liberty to change every detail... The server name and other details like that being one of them. Sorry :(

If it were *my* server where I was the supreme ruler, I'd be pulling out the stops... I used to be the big cheese admin, but not after a certain small company merged with a slightly larger company. In other words: I have little power now.

OK, no problem. It would have been nice to get to the bottom of this (if only to make sure I'm not missing any other e-mails at my main address), but for the moment I can live with using my alternative address for this forum.

I just got some email notifications, so it seems someone fixed it :)
I prefer e-mails to "diafero arcor de" (after adding the at and the dot) over PMs.

Sorry that I once again refresh this old ugly topic, but I once again don't get email notifications for the last four PMs from the last two days - can you see any issues on your side?

I can't say anything about the email notifications... Maybe they'll start working again. I have no idea why it does that.

As for the time issue, I think I need to poke a server admin or three.
