Aaaaaaghhhhhhh!
I'm trying desperately to combine a sitting mod, button-push and animation using subworlds but whatever I have tried so far fails in one way or another. A similar goal to what I am trying to achieve (- I'm trying to say as little as possible about the real puzzles as they stand in my age) is that seen in Myst IV where the player sits in a chair, flicks a switch and drops down through the floor, still sat in the chair. I have so far managed the sitting, switch and animation but when I try and add a subworld (to keep avatar in chair) the sittingmod or switch cease to function.
I thought I would be able to surround the whole area in a subworld and just make sure everything has the necessary physical subworld reference in the Alcscript. I've tried lots of alternatives. My latest attempt caused an export error - something about water (of which I have none!).
I also think perhaps I am not completely clear from the Wiki page where a subworld empty must lie: what is the point of the empty? Must it be placed on the chair itself and be animated instead of the chair?
Does anyone know if this is even possible using alcscript??
