Yes, if you want a staircase all you have to do is an invisible ramp. That's how Cyan does it.
I suggest you import a Cyan Age (such as city_District_palace.prp) and look in layer 2. You'll find the properties for the collider.

You should make one covering all solid areas of your Age.

The plugin works differently now, i'm just experimenting now, results soon to the new method.

Using the FuncCheck as an example, and this works
Create a simple mesh,
Set in its logic properties with "Bounds"
Set it "Static TriangleMesh"
Add property "string"
Name = type
Value = collider
Put it in layer 2

and presto, an invisible collision.

Lastly, if you want to change the name of the collider, press the F7 key, and under "Object and Links", enter a new name for the collision.

Okay, the issues are getting smaller. Now, can anyone tell me how we:

1: Use texture paint to make surfaces gradually transparent (aka: alpha paint)
2: Use texture paint to make surfaces gradually darker regardless of lights

Texture paint? Or do you mean vertex-paint?
Currently getting some ink on my hands over at the Guild Of Ink-Makers (PyPRP2).

Either one, really. I'd just like to be able to make textures blend together nicely and create some shadows manually.

Could be something that can only be done with stencil, which Trylon is coding for the next release, soon.

Alright, one more thing. How are textures handled differently in the new plugin?

To my knowledge, they are now entirely UV mapped, using co-ordinates.

Simply split a window, and make it a "UV/image editor"
Select the object to UV map a texture onto.
Change to Face select mode
Select the faces for UV mapping and press the "u" key to unwrap faces into UV co-ordinates
You will have several unwrap options, and you'll just have to play around with each depending on the object.
Open an image in the "UV/Image editor"
Scale, rotate work the same way in object mode as they do in UV mapping.

What about materials and stuff like that? How have they been changed?

They have changed in regard to v0.5,but it should not be too noticeable.

The next stable release will have the addition of stenciling mode and support for tweaking your mipmaps.

(Currently still fixing the texture cache to accommodate those changes)
