Z-offset

Postby Grogyan » Sat Feb 02, 2008 11:16 pm

I have just generated a tree with Gen3 (link to it is on the wiki), and I have setup the leaves with z-offset 2, and when in game viewed in 1st POV the leaves appear just fine.
When I switch to 3rd POV and hover the mouse over the avatar, this causes the avatar to become transparent, but in doing this, it causes the leaves around that part which is transparent from the avatar, to disappear

So i'm just wondering, if the avatar transparency has an offset as well to counter this effect.

The new plugin writes all the blend flags that Cyan ages do, and for the most part corrects all z sorting problems. However, as you note yourself, even cyan has still not solved the issue with the transparent avatar, so we can't use their methods to correct this. I'm not sure if it's possible, but at the moment, there's nothing we can do about it.
