Quick and dirty Swim Region

If you feel like you're up to the challenge of building your own Ages in Blender or 3ds Max, this is the place for you!

This is strictly guesswork, since I've never used any swim classes...

UpBuoyancy: float
How much the avatar buoys up while in the water. Imagining a flat surface slightly underneath the water as a "center", this would be how far above the plane the avatar will float up.

DownBuoyancy: float
Same thing as above, but downwards instead.

MaxUpwardVel: float
Maximum Upwards Velocity. How fast the avatar rises to the surface of the water.

Sounds about right Paradox.

I had made a similar rely yesterday, but somehow it didn't get posted.
Yours is better at explaining it anyway...
One day I ran through the cleft for the fiftieth time, and found that uru held no peace for me anymore.

Your explanation makes sense. I tried this a couple of days ago, but didn't find any values confirming this. I might have to try again and try more drastic changes. Anyway, if your explanation is right, than we haven't seen this used in Cyans ages... yet.

Heh - I had the default values for them wrong when I first got them working in the new plugin.

It got me bouncing up and down almost like a dolphin when swimming.
I actually spent more time in the air than in the water.

I think I had UpwardBuoyancy on 11 then. (Or was it MaxUpwardspeed?)

I'm trying to make a straight swim region, and it keeps pointing to the colon after 'region' in the 4th line, and saying "mapping values are not allowed here"
Lurker extraordinaire!
