Chacal, is it possible to do two things?
1) Maybe that door leads down to the Ae'gura Aquarium... not sure I ever saw that somewhere else
2) Any way that the one pathway you found (the one that viewed Ae'gura's mini island) could have come out, looped around and eventually headed right to Kerath's Arch... and the Arch Museum?

1) The door under the Great Stairs? It would be a strange place to put an aquarium. It's more likely a storage room or something. I'd put the aquarium in the canyon, somewhere near the Kadish gallery.
2) That would be a hell of a long way to go. A more likely place for a path would be from the Library. I actually almost made one. But with boats, why bother walking there?

"..with boats, why bother walking there", you say?
Because boats cannot get through the Eye of the Needle. The Karaf Arch is so narrow, it makes you wonder if you can fly through it without sticking.
The arch is much closer to us than it appears, and truly, you could not have sailed the sunken boats in the harbor through it.
Question: Is that why they are all sunken -- they could not sail out?
Ansewr: Probably not. But that is why they cut this route to the sea:
The sea tunnel is just behind the Library, and you can see where it starts from this picture:

Exactly
The passage out is by the Library, so that passage around would be a good idea to place the Arch Museum since there's a lot of unseen area there.
Who knows? It would be nice to see it someday tho.

Re: Opening the cavern: discoverer claims
I always wondered why Cyan placed this opening. In terms of architecture, it makes no sense, so my best shot is there was something planned for fitting into that hole, nad that something was never finished.
On some shards in UU, the admin would warp a few players around and make them go through the tunnel.

Re: Opening the cavern: discoverer claims
I have posted a video with the solution here:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XrN0H_uYHn0
See if you had found all areas.
I forgot the Library tent, but I'm not remixing it.
Please forgive the poor quality, that's pretty much all my poor computer could handle.
Also, since the video is 6 minutes long, I wanted to keep the size manageable so I had to cut on quality a little.

Hmmmm; what were you doing in ?
And i missed a couple of jumps on
Its a good description of your revealments, Chacal, and Lain Moreland's music was the perfect approximation for the Myst story line.

Scotch is a perfect companion for exploration.
For the concert hall anteroom, I opened the doors and made a floor and walls, but the sawhorses themselves are colliders and I decided not to remove them. They are rather easy to bypass; just attack the rightmost one at an angle, where the biggest gap is. It will take a few tries for the correct jump.

Re: Opening the cavern: discoverer claims
I could not find the jump over the saw horses so i got a cone and jumped over from it. But still, i cannot find any doors. They are not visible [re; the attached pic] but neither was there any place where the walls were soft enough to bust through.
Also there is this entirely unrelated problem: I cannot find where there would be any 'space' in the rock mass in that area out of which a concert hall could be carved. There is that projection out over the canyon, just above the Kadish shopping mall and below the bridge. But that could only be some sort of refreshment area. Its not large enough even to be a stage, much less a concert hall. The notion of a concert hall seems to me to be an imaginary thing. Clearly, Cyan has never had intentions for developing one.
