Scrolling Textures [Split from Information on the GoW PyPRP]

Scrolling textures implemented. :) I'll post some info on how to do it later. But for now, look into blender "texture ofs keyframe". The anims loop from the last keyframe.

more soon.

Do we need the files from http://svn.guildofwriters.com/pyprp/contrib/Lontahv/ for that? Or is there a complete zipped up release somewhere?

I installed only those 4 files on top of 1.2.1. Then I found a turorial on texture animation: http://www.pekaro.de/blender/water/water_tutorial.html , and I followed the instructions from the "animation" section.

It did not work.

Your files broke all of my stenciled textures though. :( (and btw I did not use stenciling on the object I tried to animate)

Animation code is in the trunk.

For your stencils, do you have the CalcAlpha button enabled in Blender? My stencils wouldn't work unless that button was enabled on the stencil image.

Do I download all files seperately from the trunk? I cannot find any snapshot zip or gz files there like we had on alcugs. I know they must be there because there is a link on this forum to 1.2.1 and one to "latest" ( which contains the same as 1.2.1). Why does it have to be so hard?

And btw, file dates are invisible as well. That makes it even harder to see when anything was updated.

Edit: Sorry about my bad mood. I just had to cook dinner twice. The first meal was ruined when I wanted to add a final touch of pepper and the lid of the shaker came off. :(

Edit 2: I installed an SVN client to get all files in one go. For Windows there is Tortoise SVN.

You can grab a copy right now from http://www.guildofwriters.com/pyprp/gow-pyprp-1.3.0.zip.

I'm holding off submitting it as latest.zip until I've had some reports of exports succeeding with no errors.

Note:
The way that sound flags are handled has been updated to allow more advanced customizations. See the wiki tutorials for the new format.

So far so good. CalcAlpha fixed my stencils. Sounds still work as intended and I did not have to make any changes.

The layer animation exported fine according to the logfile but I don't see any effect. That probably means I did something wrong. This will require more experimentation.

Edit: Hmm, the underscore at the end seems to suggest that PyPRP expected more arguments.

It doesn't. Mine have that name too. apparently layeranims get _LayerAnim_ appended to their name. Are you changing OfsX, Y, or Z in your animation? I'd suggest changing X.

Yep, that is what I am doing. Do I need to set animation speed somewhere?

Edit: Here are my settings.
