I'll tell you what is borked: I CAN'T UPLOAD AGE INFO TO THE CONTEST ULM!!!

I pointed this out over a day ago!

I can upload stuff to the normal ULM and to Maintainers ULM, but it keeps giving me a 404 error for the Contest ULM.

Will the Maintainers Age not be submitted because of this? Hello!?

Yeah, well... I think that the idea was to have the people SUBMIT their age rather than host it and put it on ULM but... I'm not sure anymore. What do people think about the idea of having the people send their age via email attachment(:P) or have people use media-fire? Media-fire's not the best but... at lease it's easy unlike ULM. Finding good file hosting is hard and hooking it up to ULM seems even harder... not everyone is is programmer/hacker/puzzle-wiz/amazing. :P

I think we should just through the whole ULM thing out the window(at least for this event) and we should just have the people give us links to their media-fire/web hosted age. :) Tomorrow, we have age to judge, and I don't want to deal with a tech breakdown.

I can tell you this: if the judges all have a FTP program that they can use (filezilla is free) I can post the address, username and password to download the RAD Age we've made. At least I know for a fact that using Filezilla works for me.

Right now I'm having another issue. Chacal was kind enough to give me server space to host my Age. Unfortunately, to test out the ULM, After I've made my submission to the ULM, when I go to download the book, it keeps telling me that there are no mirrors!

I've put in the correct addy in the box that asks for "Download At" and the username and password for the ftp site. And it accepts everything and says Book Added. Yet it then turns around and says: No Mirrors Available when I go to down load it. :roll:

I'm in yet another specific case: Ahra Pahts is just too big for my server space.. As it stands it is over 100 megs, and that's too much for my server right now.
So, if no one mind I will just compress it in a Zip file, which brings it down to 26 megs (much better) and I will release it outside ULM. But that isn't cool considering Trylon took the time to set up a ULM library. :( But unless someone has over 100 megs of available on a server and would be whiling to upload AhraPahts there, that will have to be that way..

[edit]
Just thinking of something: didn't the MAintainers ULM library included Ahra Pahts at some point?

With ULM you could spit ahapahts in half(I think). I could host two 100meg installments. :) But why not give it out in zip. There's no reason that we have to use ULM--for me.. having zip ahra-pahts is easier than ULM. :)

I really want to see those new shells.

If we can just solve the problem with ULM and FTP access, I can host Paths without a problem.

if you could that would be awesome, its a good contingency plan, though I havn't heard from Trylon about how to upload to the contest ULM.

Trylon is probably hiding in Blender somewhere, just as long as he doesn't push the button, I don't really want to know "Will it blend, that is the question" :) on Trylon, he has done so much for us already

Here's my RAD judging printout. Feel free to use it and pass it on. :)

Chacal can you please post what the address (and any logon info) so people can post their Ages.

Thanks

Trylon seems to be lost somewhere in the void, and everyone is getting ansi about uploading their entries, this way at least their files will be contained, and its just a simple matter of copying them over to the installation directory and use ULM to put links into Relto.

I was hoping (and failed) that Trylon would have allocated some server space which ULM automatically links to, that idea went down into the Marianas trench.

Its ideal to have subdirectories in your zip file for;
prp(s) -> \DAT
sum, age, fni -> \DAT
ogg -> \sfx
wav -> \sfx\streamingCache
pak -> \python
sdl -> \SDL

That way the judges just have to copy files over

I've had the same problem with your Office Age. Been meaning to mention it, whenever I can drag myself out of my own Blending woes...

So, er, *ahem*...*back on topic, dons long curly wig* what is actually happening at the moment? Do we have any submissions, and where do I go to get them?
