I'll try to get you all something more cohesive to look at soon.

I'll wait until I see a better sketch, I'm not sure exactly what you are doing with the above sketch.

Edit: While I was waiting I added a "side" view of the ERC area. To explain: The top right is the cone (link-in) and the Museum (just a rough sketch, I know we haven't decided what the museum will actually look like so I put in the original). Then the path from the cone, past a Japanese garden, through some statuary, and then down to the gazebo (which I did stylize in a Japanese style, it can be larger or smaller, can also add benches, bushes, so forth). Then we have the jungle surrounding the ERC and the valley beyond.

Show Spoiler

So, that is the picture I have floating around in my head.

Lovely Monkeyboy! I really like the cone. (og Bug.. Now I do not know what I like best of yours and Ruvinkas. A combo perhaps)

Hah, a them? Have not come thar far yet:-) Right now I just make things that might be put in the shell. Was thinking of a garden with a small maze perhaps. But afraid of the vertics count... But I will need a pink bunny somewhere in it :D

PSST: if you have a good them, please whisper it to me

Actually Monkeyboy having your sketch helped me a lot!
I'm going to work on combining the ideas in a few ways and resubmit.
If we like the circle cut-out, yet don't want to use it on the museum itself we canstill use it on the hedges that surround statuary.

Good picture, Monkeyboy...it helped me visualize your original concept much better; here all along I had thought that the cone was inside the museum instead of outside. But what's that black square...? It makes me think of the obelisk from Space Odyssey 2001 a little bit. :P

What's the pink bunny for? :)

But what's that black square...?

It's supposed to be part of a Japanese garden there... I was just putting things in... after coloring it in I thought the same thing.. Duunn duunn dun dun! Monkey's running around screaming, touching the black obelisk, being empowered with cause and effect.

We could put pink faux fur on it instead and have a place to make all the pink bunnies more comfortable...

Wow, I totally agree. We definitely need more pink bunnies in this Age.

(...And oddly enough, they'd actually be practical with the color scheme we have going.)

Soooooo...... Are we ready to get this thing modeled? Do we have an idea on what it will look like? And now that there can be moving water I suppose we can have that fountain in the cone then. And... or.... should we wait until we see if Cyan gives the community some Age building tools?

We can model now...sort of, anyway. The one thing we lack before we can begin is a detailed layout of the ERC--we need some nice detailed sketches of the ERC--a final, finished version of it. Then we can start modeling. ...So I guess figuring out a final version of the ERC should be our high priority right now. I'm only about 3/4 finished with the jungle panorama (I'm sorry, I'm sorry!!!) so we'll just have to ignore the building's colors for now.

Alrighty then. Shall we all work on exterior designs until we find something that we agree to like? :)
