Many species of crab apple tree leaves have green top surfaces with deep red under surfaces. maybe you have a crab apple tree TInuviel Red under green always attracts me to a plant...hmmm maybe that's our solution. If we can't decide... BOTH!!
This is some interesting stuff--red bark, green leaves...or red and green leaves. I'll try to work these ideas into the "standing in the jungle" picture. I haven't started that one, but I've got the picture penciled out for the valley overlook. Still need to color it in though...
Good question...I just never associated jungles with seasons like fall and spring, I suppose--just rainy seasons and dry seasons. That's why I was just thinking that we'd have different colored plants which were ordinarily those colors. We could have lots of colors either way.
Silly me. I keep forgetting it's supposed to be a jungle (I allways picture the surroundings with large trees more like what we have more north of the equator.
«Borders? I have never seen one, but I have heard they exist in the minds of some people.» (Thor Heyerdahl)
...And an update on that concept art. I've the the whole thing penciled out, as I mentioned earlier, the sky is done, and I've colored in a bunch of red, orange, green and blue trees as well as working on the rocks and some low foliage. I really like how it's turning out! But my wrist is sore now, from pressing too hard in order to get intense colors.
OOPs! Sounds like a 'workman's comp' claim against GoW. Where are the lawyers? Where is OSHA? Don't send pain killers; send those strap-on wristy things. As for me, i'll just have Scotch, please. Leave the wine for the weak-wristed people.
