The green sky technique is starting to gel nicely. What did you use, three or four different pencils?
Left page holds up best, although there is some sleepiness between the volcanoes – where hachures are starting to emerge; right page shows the weak wrist problem, as some puffy little green clouds are trying to break through.
Are you learning how to stop when you are too tired to keep the game up?
You mentioned the heavy rubbing required for certain leaves/flowers. Architectural students have a technique of really scrubbing the wax pencil into the paper – i mean really scrubbing it in; then they put wax paper over the image and iron it. At the right temperature this melds (or melts) the strokes into a single solid and very opaque image.
