I want to push as much as anyone else, maybe more so, but I am afraid of what might happen if we push too hard or too often.

Formative experience from my past: I was one of the editors of a pupil-produced school newspaper. It was reasonably good, I think, and I was enjoying it. Then one of the other editors, over my objections, wrote and printed an inflammatory piece about some petty change to the dinner rules. The day after it appeared, the headmaster squashed the paper. I learned then that being right doesn't always make you happy, and that knowing how far you can go and not going any further is important in any non-survival-based activity.

Let them answer in their own good time. Please.

Indeed, I was once asked by my mother "Which is more important? Being right or being happy?"

The two are not always synonymous. Pushing to go ahead and do your own thing worries me a bit, mostly because it is going against some views of the wider community (who should be taken into consideration), that said you will never make everyone happy (case in point, I'm against an UU2, but am more open to it being a single Cyan ran shard over many fan shards). Now I spoke to Ryan last night who mentioned some things, I'll wait till he pops up again and ask if I can share what we talked about if so then I will post it and it explains a little bit of what is going on (why there is a wait).

For now I'd probably recommend letting Cyan have the time they need.

Tweek's words remind me of my oldest daughter back when she was in school as a kid.

She kept brining home bad grades and I kept pushing her. And she kept being more and more miserable.

So I sat down and thought about it. Which would be better? A Miserable Success, or a Happy Failure? I decided upon the last part, as my daughter was getting to the point that she was hating me anyways, so I told her: that's it. You want to fail? Fine, fail if that makes you happy.

All on her own she brought her grades up after that. She decided that failing school was not going to make her happy.
