Anything to do with vertex colors is still on my list of things to learn (such as everything to do with Pages). I know pretty much nothing about vertex painting, or vertex colors, and it makes me a little nervous, but my mesh isn't ready for all that anyway.

Moiety Jean, re the color thing
Jennifer's Classroom Lesson 4 (page 5, i think) went into vert coloring as a first lesson. It is a beginning session, but i found it raised issues that i need to return to -- issues to study after i get forms down a bit better. And while my level of understanding lowers the bar considerably, still, you might find sonething there that will get you started into color.

Thank you, pappou! I'm trying to keep this sort of stuff bookmarked so I can find it again when I've reached that stage of modeling. My mesh is so complex I've been working on it for months and am still not ready for texturing yet. But I think it is going to be something I'll be proud of.
