The thing is: how big does the PCIe slot have to be? Becasue mine is small. It can't take anything with a 16x input size.

Here, take a look at this pic here:

As you can see they are showing 3 slots for PCIe, now I only use the BIG slot for my graphics card and it's about the same size as the old PCI slots.

The other 2 little slots are for PCIe 1X, the bigger slot is 16X and is what a PCIe graphics card would go into (my nVidia GT8500 would slip into the slot just fine)

Oh, by the way, the 8800GTS will cost you a good $200 according to my quick looking. I'd go for the more modestly priced 8600GTS ($100) if you're obsessed with saving money and don't really plan on playing some really, really demanding games.

I included links in case you're just like me and the nearest computer store is 100 miles away.

Sheesh, sounds like you live in the middle of a desert :)

Just a warning though as I do know someone with an 8600, when you do want to play a high end game, this card does not have enough juice in it to make it fun.
I chose the 8800 GTS 512 which is a well priced with enough juice to play high end games at a respectable frame rate.

Second reason why I had bought this card is its cooler, mine stays under the 50 (and microchip manufacturer generally states 70 degrees as the maximum allowable heat dissipation) degree centigrade mark, and blows hot air out the back and not on the mother board (or worse)

Well there is my problem right there: you need a PCIe 16x slot and the only PCIe slot I have is 1x. And my case is too small to fit in something for a 16x slot.

Then i'm guesing that your computer only has an AGP slot.

Definitely sounds like time for an upgrade

I think have an ATI Radeon 8500 AGP card sitting in a closet somewhere, if I haven't already given it away. It had no problem playing CC at the time. I can ship it to anyone needing it.
I may also have an ATI 9800 Pro available shortly if I finally get around to buy a new PC. I'll be keeping my old PC as a server and won't need a 3D card.

EDIT: Yup, I have the 8500 with 128MB. It has two video outputs, which can drive two monitors.

Oh I would absalutly love that! But I can tell the shipping costs would be high since you live in Canada and I live in the US and on top of that I probably wouldn't be able to have you send it to me since I don't own my house, (I am 13) and to presuade my parents to let me have that would be hard. And also: would I have to pay you?

Check your PMs.
You do have an AGP slot, yes?
