Great i'll add those links tomorrow

I'd still would like to know who'd like to volunteer as a Judge

There are positions for 3 Maintainers and 2 Writers on the panel, if you'd like to be on the panel please contact me and i'll add you to the scoring sheet

By the way, if you are a judge, you will not be able to compete and vice versa

From the last contest it was mentioned about submitting the blend files, instead we used the importer, that now unfortunately is no longer supported, is it still advisable for contestants to share their blend file?

Thanks

Am I on the judging list? I have a shell, but it's no where near to being shown, so I'm free to judge. :) It was a lot of fun last time.

Just remember that if you add me an have important judging info, please PM me, I'm not too much of a forum-crawler. I think all the judges should communicate via PM to make sure the message gets to them. :)

Thanks

You and Corvus have been added to the registered judging list

I have also added the links suggested by Robert

For this contest to be real successful in getting average scores, i'm still looking for volunteers, specifically 2 Maintainers and another Writer

I'd like to volunteer :)
I'm not going to join the contest as a participant anyway.

I'm interested in helping judge, but I'm hitting a very busy time of year for me right now, and it turns out that I'm going to be out of town for nearly three weeks in July. When is the contest slated for? I'd like to help if I can, but I want to be able to give it my best effort. If the timing doesn't work, it'd be better if someone else did it.

Cool, Ametist and Trylon, I have added you two to the judging panel

Unfortunately this contest will be over the month of July, with scoring of the shells in the last week of the month, will you still be able to make it Jishin?

I know that many people have either started their shell months ago and may still be working on it, just a quick request, if you plan on entering, can you please hold off on building your shell for just 1 more week?

Thats when this contest starts.

If you are entering in this contest, can you please send me a PM with your shell number, so that I can add you to that scoring sheet please?

I recommend that we have two categories of entries:

- New: shells that have only been developed within the three week period of the contest
- Existing: shells that have been developed for much longer

The ultimate goal of this contest is to help populate Ahra Pahts with more shells - even incomplete ones - in time for the next release. So, we should accept all entries. [Note: to avoid a potential conflict of interest, I will not enter my shell.]

A question regarding new entries: how will we ensure that the contestants will receive their shells in time to participate in the contest? I recommend that the contest starts only after every entrant receives their shells. We could post a cut-off date for requesting a shell for the contest, e.g. 30 June. As soon as the last entrant receives their shell, the contest starts.
Can we rebuild it? Yes, we can - here's how.

If by "last week in July" you mean July 27 into the beginning of August, then yes, I can help out. :) The three weeks previous will involve me being out of town for large chunks of the time, and I'm uncertain that I'd be able to spend enough time on the contest during that time.

Question about receiving shells... I have old blender files for mine. Is it wise to get new ones? Do I have to get new ones? They have to be converted to the new plugin for instance. I would prefer getting the latest version.
