Footstep sound region problem

Postby Kierra » Fri Nov 16, 2007 3:23 am

Specifically, I'm having trouble with footstep sound region #17, maintainer's stone. I wanted to try it to see what it sounded like, but every time I entered the region, it would crash the game completely.

Is there a bug?

hm, probably a bug.

I know there are issues with the region stuff in PyPRP and that appearently footstep regions are broken somehow in the latest version.
One day I ran through the cleft for the fiftieth time, and found that uru held no peace for me anymore.

In one of my original test ages, it'd crash whenever it was set to deeper water instead of a puddle. But I knew people have gotten that one working, so I figured it was a fluke. Unfortunately I haven't had time lately to test things in the latest version.. (other than toggling NoFog, which is pretty nice for skies and such)

There may be some issues with the positioning of the regions, and soft volume regions seem to be broken to a degree as well.

as soon as I changed the region back to 11, it worked just fine. :)
