yay for me!

If you feel like you're up to the challenge of building your own Ages in Blender or 3ds Max, this is the place for you!

yay for me!

I was never very happy with my door in Zephyr that slid open and closed.

Now, thanks to the new plugin, the door can swing open like normal doors do, and I have gotten rid of the stupid lever.

Now, it looks and feels more natural. You push on the door and it swings open!

sings:

"I've got a swinging doooor. I've got a swinging doooor-"

Breaks off suddenly as he notices Boblishmans holagraphic image.........and Nadnerbs extremely complex gears and unlocking door.......

"I got a swinging door......"

Hooray! :D

Way to go Andy. It's those times of satisfaction that make Writing worthwhile, eh?

I just love the feeling of either a breakthrough or something just going the way it should :D

errr... the hologram is not exactly Yeesha ... it's only a simple projection onto a flat plane with a slideshow and some animated "static" ... mind you, it does only appears when you stand in a certain place ... ;) (thanks Nadnerb!)

Way to go Andy ! :D
(... I haven't started "real" object animation yet (been too busy "fixing" my Age) ... anyhow ...now you've got it working ... expect a LOT of pm's ... :) )
when it comes to Age creation ... "DOH" seems to be my middle name...

Andy, just vent off when you need to.

*thinks back on past events*

Maybe I should listen to my own advice... teen angst isn't the healthiest thing to... ERHM

I find that drawing a picture of yourself and yelling out your problems to it is a good solution. Even if the picture is sucky, it fills the purpose of venting without destroying your reputation in front of others, yet when you look back it gives you the feeling that only you yourself can solve your own personal problems at the times when its appropriate.

Give it a shot.

*chucks random object*

And have a llama pillow. They're fuzzy :3

Nah, thanks for the advice, but I have my own special ways to vent. They are:

Play Call of Duty 4 online and shoot anything that moves......

Or, go into my closet and pull out my 12 Gauge shotgun and .22 Ruger Carbine and start going to town on the trees.....

poor trees.....

That's great, can't wait to see it.
First time I put a swinging door in a Quake 2 map (a much easier feat than in an Uru Age), I went in game to test it, and it opened on the wrong side, pinning me helplessly against the wall. Good thing this wasn't on multiplayer.
