I thought I'd followed it right before, but I did it again anyhow, but still nothing.

Looking int the prp_classes I don't see the flags being predefined for their respective hexadecimal value, like you would have done manually with logic properties. so it looks like you'll have to do sprites with logic properties not AlcScript

Perhaps Whil is now using both logic properties and alcscript? The error in the initial post indicates he was using alcscript (although he was not aware of it), but if he followed boblishman's instructions he would be using logic properties now.

So it may be worth to check if you are not using both.

Also if you use logic properties, make sure you are using type and not alctype like it says on the old alcugs wiki.

:smacks forhead: DOH!

Sorry Whilyam! I forgot to mention if you follow the Alcugs tut, that you need to do what D'Lanor said, change Alctype to just type.

If you don't, the sprites won't work. I know. That's what happened to me a few months ago.

Good guess, but I knew about that before and already made it "type".

Ooh, a puzzle :P

Just to be clear, I am (and always have) used ONLY the logic properties. NO alcscript. I've made sprites before, I know how they used to work. They don't work like that now. So what's changed?

Ah, I know why. My brain's not screwed in tight enough! :D

For future reference, it's "sprite_flags" not "sprite_type".

Errr...have just tried out the Sprite-tut and it seams that the "sprite_flags" values all(except for the 00000821) are too long.
They all are 9-digit-numbers but it only works when you delete a zero.
