Contrary to what I previously wrote, I will not be submitting my shell after all. I thought I could tie up the loose ends that I had, but I just created too much work for myself. I still plan to work on it, but next time there's a RAD contest, I planning on working small.

I was about to post the same thing, but I was looking for an info I can't find: is Darrigan still in or not? I see his name listed as part of the contestants (shell #109)

Good catch, Aloys! I'll send him a PM as well.

Now testing the entries...

[EDIT] I'm now declaring the contest closed. The entries I've received so far have all tested successfully, and I am in the process of downloading/testing DatokerJ's entry.

MustardJeep, PaladinOfKaos and Darrigan: At this stage, I'm afraid your entries are disqualified - unless you wish to contest it. Please post your reasons as soon as possible, and we'll let the judges decide whether to allow your late entries.

[EDIT2] I finished testing DatokerJ's entry and have uploaded the final RAD2 Ahra Pahts versions for download on the Wiki. I sent a notification to each of the judges.

It was a pleasure to visit these shells - just like opening a Christmas gift; each was a surprise.

For those of you who were unable to submit your shells for the contest, don't despair: Aloys is still working on release 1.0 and would love to have your shells when you're ready.

Well done, everyone!

I can't wait to test all those shells tonight and see that city more populated! :)

Indeed, the two main goals of this 'contest' are to help populate this Age and have fun doing it. If some shells didn't make it in time for the deadline that's not a problem, at least they have made some progress and hopefuly they'll be released one of these days. :)

Yeah, my shell will one day be finished complete with puzzles and lights P), but right now, after a minor fix in the python files, my shell is what I had intended in the first contest.

Note that the map has moved to its semi permanent location, so don't despair if can't see it straight away, it is indeed there, along with a little easter egg

Sorry about that, Grogyan. To fix this, just download the zipped Pahts.pak file below and put it in your URU's Python directory:

Pahts.zip
(122.06 KiB) Downloaded 465 times

Once I get to a wired connection, I'll make new versions of the Ahra Pahts distributions that include this fix.

Unfortunately, I had to rush my shell out in its unfinished state. Am I allowed to replace it with a better version if I can get it to you soon?

Note: since my submission, I have actually moved backwards, since an unfortunate accident reverted my shell's blender file to a much older version. I am trying to rebuild it from memory (it's a lot easier the second time), but a couple problems have hampered my progress beyond what I had originally (namely, triggered animations. If anyone can help, I started a thread here.) Also, does anyone know a python file tutorial? I've yet to see a simple walkthrough.

Sorry to hear about the Blender accident. The .blend1 file is a backup of the .blend file; perhaps that still has your original version?

Although the contest is now closed, you (and everyone else) can still submit updates of your shell to Aloys, who will incorporate it into version 1.0 of Ahra Pahts.

Don't worry Di Gama! My shell isn't finished either. I kinda think it's cool to see what we have accomplished in three weeks. Finished or not. I'm sure all shells will be amazing if completely done (if not already).
