I am carterhawk, first person to transition Gadren to the third-dimension!! I see big things for MORE, something I considered inevitable back when URU first closed down.I used to play around with bryce a bit many years ago, photoshop longer even than that. I recently bought a Rebel XSi and have been looking for a productive use of my photos, which I think I have found here.

Hello. I'm Matthew Hornbostel.

I am an indie artist who makes movies and games.

Some of my most recent work is shown here:

I am taking a game development course in college and plan to make some worlds in 3ds max for my game project #1, which will be in the Myst/Uru style. That way I can get course credit for making Uru worlds!

I haven't made any Uru worlds yet except Clozen, which I never made ULM-public due to various texture glitches I couldn't fix.

But I will make Uru ages as soon as Cyan releases their 3ds max plugins.

Shorah and hello dear GOW and Uru Fans. I'm John Beijer, 17 years old and I live in Holland. I'm an 3ds max moddeller & animator and I loved Uru. When i found out you could create content for it, I went crazy.

This forum looks very nice and kind and I hope i'll have a nice time around.

Judging by the contents of the forums, so did most of us.

Hello. I'm Emil from Sweden.
My goal is to create some ages with sparkling graphics that meets and surpass the quality of Cyans own work.

I've had some minor game artist experience (working as artist on one game release) and am now working as a 3d artist doing visualizations.

Recently I've started learning MaxScript and use it regularly in my daily work, creating various tools for myself and my colleagues.

Feel free to add me on msn: emil at meiton.se

I just want to say a big "Hi" to everyone in the GoW - and to everyone else who reads this.

Its taken me a long time to start to become actively involved in Age Building (real life issues and stuff), and MO:RE is now on the horizon, so now its time to get my feet (paws) wet and take the plunge into the murky world of Age Building.

Some people may remember me (*waves hello*) and it has been nice keeping in touch with my Bevin Buds in these lost times without a Cavern. I was introduced to MOUL by a fellow explorer, who later became one of my closest friends - at around the time of Episode 7 (I think) and was hooked in an instant, regretted not having been part of it sooner and cried when it closed. Its wonderful to see the ongoing support for Uru has yet again opening the Cavern up to wonderful possibilities.

I work in Corporate graphics and Photoshop is no stranger to me and I'm slowly but surely managing to tame Blender. Its been a few years since I did any serious programming, but I am keen to get my head around Python and hopefully put together something everyone can enjoy, as I have had a lot of time to put together some 'serious' ideas for some really fun and challenging Ages.

But to me, a good looking Age is not necessarily the best ones around (Forgive me here - I have not seen any Fan-made Ages beyond those clips on YouTube)
So hopefully someone may be able to point me in the right 'nooby' direction with regard Python and start to build something with the Explorer can interact with (buttons, levers etc). Although what I really need is something which I can create in Blender (a spot on a wall/surface) and click on/off something (a light), from the perspective of a total nooby (not literally true, but you have to start somewhere!) and hopefully build up from there and realise my ideas.

Many thanks guys!!

Rabbit.

Just thought I'd sign the guest book, since I'm already making posts in other fast-moving threads suddenly :)

I usually go by Dachannien on message boards in various places (including the Uru Obsession forums, the MOUL forums, and the GameTap forums, as well as other forums totally unrelated to Uru), but in-cavern, I've generally just gone by my real first name (Barry). I missed the boat during the old Ubisoft days, but I fell in love with the game during the GameTap days, and I'm really excited now that a reborn Myst Online is a very real possibility - and I'm ecstatic that I, and all of you, will finally get the chance to contribute to the spectacular vistas that we've seen so far!

Sadly, though, I'm a rank noob when it comes to 3d modeling, texturing, sounds, music, or anything else that goes into an Age. I do have imagination though, and I've already been imagining some interesting (and super-sekrit) concepts that I hope to learn how to turn into an Age over the coming months.

Thanks much to everyone here for putting so much effort into making this work. Yeah, I know nothing's happened yet, but with all the true dedication here and elsewhere in the 'tubes, I can't imagine a scenario where good things wouldn't happen in the near future :)
