Constraints and/or parents

Postby ekimmai » Sun Jul 27, 2008 8:03 am

YET another hiccup:

I have a pair of doors that open outwards. These worked fine for a time until I joined handles to each door (one handle being a duplicate of the other) - after which I can no longer get the doors to be treated as independant objects. I have tried to clear parents, constraints, tracks and everything else that mightbe related to this but nothing helps and hence my doors both now both rotate anti-clockwise! Have I made a fatal error in joining them to other duplicated objects?

And I was doing so well...... (for me)

Okay, solved it (by fluke):

I found a post regarding deletion of Material from a duplicated object and wondered whether I need do smonething similar for the animations. Using the "delete link to this datablock" button for the IPO curve for one of the doors allowed me to reconstruct curves independantly for both. :D

More of my stupid questions to follow no doubt....
