ekimmai: Don't know if this helps but this is something that I do and it works:
About two-sided textured 'planes' - I do it in edit mode, select each face and then just click 'twoside' in the 'Texture face' tab, as shown here:
Show Spoiler

Works fine in age. ( And one sure get's happy when something works smoothly, which happens occasionally :D )

Hi Ametist,

Appreciate the help. Yeh that's pretty much what I've done in the past and sometimes it works just fine (e.g. I have a wall of a building which has no problems with double-sided textures). For some other objects the same method appears to fail and hence the advice that one copies the Twoside characteristic from active face to secondary selected faces. For my particular object neither method is working though the Twoside button is dark for ALL faces - so must be something else going on. Mystery indeed!!
