Next guild meeting???

Postby Dangerzone » Thu Sep 18, 2008 8:46 pm

The purpose of this thread is for a few reasons...

First, for the past 3 months I have not had much free time... (life got in the way or my writing and I was reduced to slightly ore than a lurker here). Thus, I have only recently been able to settle down, and return for good to one of my true pastimes, URU (so I am wondering what has happened in those months, sadly it does not look like much).

Secondly, I was wondering where and when our next guild meeting is set for (and please tell me we have one set). I think a meeting of our collective minds to determine our state of affairs is way overdue (it looks like our last meeting was almost a YEAR ago!).. and i will help get it together if need be (since i helped plan the last one as well).

With the launch of MORE slated for sometime in the next few months, we need to start getting ourselves back together (and preparing for the influx of members that the MORE launch will bring, because it does not look like we are ready). It also seems that we need to streamline the new member induction, team assembly, and training aspects of this guild (maybe a team manager guild counselor position is in order?).

Finally, while I was away... I was able to continue my writing in my spare time, and I have created an outline for a unique multistage, multiplayer age that is unlike anything ever done for uru... it is an ambitious project that will take months and quite a few of our brightest minds to complete... Also with one major curve ball never attempted before by us, Which is why I plan on pitching it at the end of the meeting (and not in the storyteller section).

I suggest you take a closer look around before you run headlong into things. A lot is going on everywhere and the reason we haven't had any interguild meetings is for a lack of a place to have them.

We have, however been in contact with other guilds planning many things. Especially with the maintainers.

We have been using this forum intensely the whole time. To be honest, this is a much better venue for pooling our collective minds than a clumsy on-line meeting with all the technical problems. A meeting is fun but unproductive.

See BAD's answer above. We have been doing all this. Also have a look at the Wiki.

Now you're making sense! Welcome back to the Writers. Feel free to start a new project here and start recruiting!
