For the giant crystal Age supporters...

Postby Nynaveve » Tue Sep 23, 2008 7:29 pm

Here is something to tickle your fancy. There is actually a giant crystal cave located in Chihuahua, Mexico. It looks astounding, and National Geographic channel has a special running on Sun, Oct 12 at 9pm (US time, all zones). Here's a link to the pictures available on the website:

If that doesn't make you want to run your Avatar through a Crystal Age, I don't know what will. :D

Well, I wrote up a critical comparison between the real giant crystals in the Cave of Swords and giant crystals as they are used in fan Ages, but after some deliberation I decided not to post it lest it lead to ill-will and hurt feelings. Ah well...
So you might as well go ahead and make all the giant crystal Ages you want in whatever way you want, I won't bother you about it anymore.
Now if you'll excuse me, I need to go slam doors and smash things. ;)

Rub it in, Chacal, rub it in.

And I'll send you the article, Trylon...just remember I decided in the end not to post it. Heat of passion and all that.

I don't think it's just you that has an issue with Crystals Jennifer. Jishin groaned when I mentioned trying to use crystals in Zephyr, and I've met others that feel the same way: "Oh gods, not more glowing crystals.."

Me, I'm partial to Glow Worms....but they keep moving around! Kinda hard to read by too!

Personally I like beaming high-power lasers onto imperfect crystals in order to make them glow :P
Can't do it with perfect ones cause they won't scatter the beam well enough.

Unfortunately there's a huge waste of power in that lighting scheme :P

Sorry Sue, I've decided that I've got to tone it down before I show it to anyone else. :) Maybe I'll post it later, if I have time.
