Ah, I hadn't thought of sitting down as an animation already (once you are sat at least) but I guess that explains it. I just hoped that forces at work in a subworld would move the avatar along with the collider. Guess I'll have to scrap idea then :(

Thanks guys!! You've been a great help.

Oh dear, now however simple a subworld I create, even copying and pasting in the example from the door animation age, I get the following error on export.

What does this mean??

That is a PyPRP bug, which I think can be avoided by making your subworld an empty instead of a visible object.

D'L, I tried deleting and re-creating the subworld as an empty but with no change.
Eventually found I had no collider so might have been the cause somehow as everything then worked okay.

Think I may have cracked the "chair-lift" last night (whether or not this counts as 2 animations). More work to be done on it yet though.......... ;)

Well my animation inside the subworld has progressed well but I have one issue remaining: evrry time I walk out of the subworld I fall through the floor
This is proving a little inconvenient!

I have a collider at floor level (just as in the door animation example) but makes no difference whether this is partially or wholly inside the subworld. I have tried about 20 combinations of entry region/exit region/collider dimensions and heights. It seems the avatar meets resistance as it tries to leave the subworld and then the floor outside of that subworld no longer has any solidity (despite being below foot level).
Anyone had this experience and know the solution?

You're not properly exiting your subworld. Are you sure that your exit region is inside the subworld? Otherwise it won't exist inside the subworld and you won't be able to touch it.. You should also make sure that your exit region doesn't drop you back into the global world right into a subworld entry region..

Thanks for the advice Nadnerb.
Apologies for being rather slow here, but how do I achieve both the things you stated? Sounds like I need the exit region to be inside the enter region otherwise it won't exist in the subworld, but then the exit region needs to be outside the enter region othrewise I will exit straight back into the subworld. I'm confused :?

I have tried having both regions exactly the same and sometimes I can enter and leave fine, but then find that in 50% of directions I meet resistance whilst trying to leave and then fall through the floor once I manage to overcome the resistance and walk off the collider.

Tricky.....

For me the onexit type exit region did the trick, placed outside the entrance region.

Ekimmai, try to think of the regions like doors. Once you enter the region you've passed though the doorway and nothing other than an exit region will get you out. So you don't need to have the region be where you want to be in the subworld--as long as you pass it going into the place where you want the subworld. This is a bit confusing.
Currently getting some ink on my hands over at the Guild Of Ink-Makers (PyPRP2).

Great advice guys. Cracked it at last: as suggested I placed the entry region within the the exit region (with both regions, main floor and collider "floor" all having the same Z location) and it worked a treat. What a relief!

Hopefully no more pleas for help for a week or two at least.......... ;)
