We/I thought it would be a great idea

I was wrong as usual and I apologise - I have too many ideas
"we live and learn by our mistakes", and we'll make certain that when the next contest comes along we will review that idea and put it into the rules that a special surprise will come in the of _ _ _ before signing up

The idea could've turned (still could) into an "easter egg hunt", which is always fun in itself

But seeing as for this contest that twist is left out, it is safe to reveal what I had in mind, a simple texture

Show Spoiler

Ideas I had with this texture if I was entering and didn't know about it include, a fishing lure, a wrap for a meal on an open fire and as a plaque on a bench with text over laid

I apologize as well. Although in the past we had modified rules up until the start of the contest (see the change history of the RAD 2 page), this practice clearly cannot continue without first getting approval from everyone involved.

In case there is a need to modify the rules (e.g. to clarify an ambiguous rule, to handle a new situation that currently has no rules) before the contest starts, let me propose that the modification is put up to a vote. Those who are eligible to vote are the RAD committee members, the judges on the panel to date, and the contestants to date. The majority of the eligible voters must approve it within a week of posting the suggested modification; otherwise, no change is made.

Does everyone consider this a fair way to change the rules?

About the rules that sounds fair. You could just pm all parties involved and then they can give their response back via PM.

Yeah, the panel did some whacky stuff in the past. ;) Hopefully nobody is to scarred-for-life because of it. ;)

Robert, uh, it's the 29th (at least in my part of the world). The contest sign up deadline is 23:59 GMT on the 31st. (Which is like 7:59 Pm my time. How do you figure its less than 24 hours? Did an entire day disappear at some point?

EDIT At the time you made your post Robert, it was 00:41 GMT time on Thursday October 30th, which still put like 47 hours till the deadline Robert.

Just to be double-sure I'm signed up... I'm signed up

Also, for this rule-changing stuff, how about the RAD contest rules are finalized before you make any topic about it? Most of the rules should be able to be copied from one contest to another easily (the time limit, the requirement of all original content, etc.)

Right now the rules are finalized for this contest.

Then on Saturday it begins, your small Age/area garden or whatever will grow

Great. Just checking on one thing, though I think I know the answer. As I have no sound ability, can I get someone else to make ambient sounds for me or link to existing Cyan ambient sounds?
