Collisions and Walkable Surfaces

Postby Race » Mon Nov 10, 2008 1:00 pm

Hello all, I am adding to an age and trying to set up collision planes on surfaces that the avatar sinks knee deep into, how can I do this? I tried creating an object, making it a statictrianglemesh then placing it under the wood planks but its visible in the age and looks dumb, can it be made invisible somehow? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

Set the property:

String "Type" "collider"
:)

This info can be found http://www.guildofwriters.com/wiki/Getting_Started_With_Writing on the page aboud the collider-fence for the beachball.
Currently getting some ink on my hands over at the Guild Of Ink-Makers (PyPRP2).

I did set it up as a collider but then the avatar gets stuck on the woodbridge and cant get to the other side. I am laying the collision object horizontal and its just slightly below the planks so its out of sight, but when its there I cant cross. I am confused. Thanks for the reply.

After you have your object into place, make sure you hit Cntrl-A to set the scaling and rotation.

On Bounds, try setting it to Triangle Mesh. That might fix your problem
