Grease Pencil...

Grease Pencil.......hehehehehe.....hehehehe.....hahahahahah!

I can make anything now. ANYTHING! Do you hear me?!?!?!?!

Age Creation is mine! MINE I TELL YOU!!!!

:Later, after some much needed meds are taken...:

Wow! This is such a great feature! I can make meshes now in minutes that used to take me hours! So easy to use too!

If you have not already downloaded Blender 2.48a, I highly recommend that you do. Especially if you want to make meshes that you can just draw instead of trying to deform cubes and spheres.....

wow.....

All that then:

click on Convert to Path

Then hit Alt-C to convert Path to Mesh.

You'll end up with line shape with verticies. Extrude or manipulate the verticies how you want, the use Fill to make your faces.

That's it.

How do I fill it again? pressing "F" only works when joining two edges... and there are a bunch of edges as a result of Grease pencil...

You have to make sure your shape and line of vertices all meet. No loose ends. Like and "O" or a "D" the lines meet, where as like an "S" there are to loose ends.

I recommend actually click on "Mesh" and then "Faces" and then "Fill" instead of using the hot key.

Ok I got them to meet how do I get them to join? I got them realllly close and then removed doubles but I still don't get a fill.

I am having trouble seeing how this is easier than modifying a solid?

You have to make a line (edge) between the 2 verticies.....get them close and make sure just those 2 are highlighted. Then hit "F" and a line should appear between them. This indicates they are connected.

Also, if you press Shift-F, it will fill in a circle of selected verts with multiple faces. Simply pressing 'F' requires that you have exactly 2-4 verts selected.
