hi there im some what new to this place you might reconize the name from youtube if you happen to watch my vids, but thats not important, i have been taking classes at a vocationle school, where i have been learning how to use the program Cinema 4D to do 3D modeling, so i was wondering if people could make patches for programs such as Cinema 4D, maya, 3D studio max lightwave 3D ext. if you could that would be nice cause i am having hard enough time learing C4D i could not even conseive the thought of trying to learn blender. anyway if you could do that it would be great and for people who use programs other then blender list them because i know i have forgotten a few of them. anyway thankyou and I am here to help with the Art and modeling parts of getting back the mmo i had ever played! anyway ill ttyl and hope you have a great day!

Patches?

Please explain.

If you want to port over scenes from one program to another you can't, but you can port over meshes from one app to another, by using the export function available in most packages.
Export to Maya OBJ, and import them into any other program you may use.

You can use 3ds as a format, but Maya obj seems to be used more often

Do you mean plugins that allow you to export Ages from other modeling programs, without importing them to Blender first? I doubt anyone will take you up on that, simply because people are more focused on expanding our Age-building ability with the tools we have now than making them compatible with other programs. Maybe sometime in the distant future, when we've implemented everything else? I know Blender isn't the easiest thing to use (I'm learning it, too, and it's frustrating and definitely intimidating), but it's the best thing for the job because it has pretty much all of the features a powerful modeling program should have, and it's free. Anything else would either be very expensive or require downloading a free trial version, sans a lot of functionality.

Sonic, I'm sure that plugins for other programs will be created when we get the Cyan source- these plugins will probably not be created by the dev team you see here, who focus on PyPRP. It's just a matter of waiting, and maybe asking on the MOUL (bah, what do we call it now?) forum :).
