The linking books work for me, too.
But I have a lot of lag in Eder Licinius (videocard is a Nvidia Gforce 7600GT), the same, when I disable shadows.
Also I got a stack error when I want to go in the water.

Same here... lotsa lag and after using the telescope I got spawned all over the place. Hardware: Radeon X1900XT

I don't think its the age thats causing the stack dump with the water. I just downloaded Camp Bravo and got the exact same stack dump with the pool there.

On a side note, the lag is caused by the animation for the tram car. PyPRP doesn't compute the ease in and out for animations very well. Hence the lag on some objects with animations. Not much I can do about that till I get to fixing some animation stuff in PyPRP.

Thats strange.
I tested Camp Bravo, night and day. All runs fine.
Then I linked back to Eder Licinius, went into the water..... no stack error more.
I don't know what went wrong the first time...

Well ... just been in to have a quick look around ... I am not getting any stackdumps (and I've been swimming!), and all the books work fine ...

The only (bug-type) things I have noticed are:

1) the lag in various places (almost like Shadbuf has been left switched on for a few objects ? ) ... its not continuous, just in certain spots.
(I have GFORCE 8400M GT if it helps).
I have a feeling that if it's not Shadbuf, then maybe it's being caused by the swaying animation of the cablecar ...

2) There also seems to be a lag immediately on link in (rather like an animation is being reset that is causing the lag ? - possibly the cable car? ) ... but it stops after a few seconds.

All the GUI's work perfectly (letter, Magazine etc,) as does the Journal ... but I also get the same issue with the telescope ... when you quit the GUI, the camera is not cutting back to the avatar ... it is panning slowly back (which gives the impression of warping) to behind the avatar.

I am getting random Bahro screams (though of course there may be other sounds I should be getting that I don't know about).

Only one other thing (and it could well be a "puzzle" .. ? ) is that I get a hotspot on the computer's keyboard in the Office ... but it doesn't seem to do anything ... (at the moment ) but maybe I need to find me a power switch ? )

Heh, gee bob, and you got me all happy that it wasn't my fault with the swim region.

But if it worked once then there must be something happening thats causing it to do this. Anyone know where Tahg is so I can have him take a look at these stack dump errors?

hmmm ... ok ... sixth attempt ...no stackdump ...I couldn't even MAKE it stackdump ... and I REALLY tried ...

(also ... the computer keyboard was already "open" on my second visit ... ... maybe I missed the animation, but now it wont close ... )

Yeah i screwed up the responder on the keyboard. It just opens and closes. Its set to save the object animations state, hence why it was opened when you went back, if you clicked on it, when you go back it should be closed.

also ... why does the download rar have a folder called "img" (with the linking book panel texture) in it ?

Is that necessary for the linking book to work correctly ? (I have added the folder to my Uru installation, but I'm not sure why it's there ? ... )
