E-Mail notifications

Postby diafero » Thu Feb 26, 2009 7:40 am

Am I the only one not getting e-mail notifications about new posts since the server crash? I don't think there is a problem on my side since other board notifications work fine, but who knows... if others have the same problem, too, it would be great if an admin (or are you the only one, Hoikas?) could look at it.
I prefer e-mails to "diafero arcor de" (after adding the at and the dot) over PMs.

I do not seem to be getting them either ... no notifications at all .... neither new threads or additions to subscribed threads ....

(where are the mods when you need them ... ;) )
when it comes to Age creation ... "DOH" seems to be my middle name...

Oops?

Email notifications should now be sending. I doubt that the backed ones will be sent en masse as before though.

I have the same problem again, and according to some notes in the chain letter age I am not the only one.

No, you're not, but I assure you there is nothing wrong on this end. Notifications are still going out. Whether or not you are getting them is a different story, unfortunately.

Check your spam folder if you have one.
Check with your ISP and ask if they have a spam filter.

I have had the same problem in the past ... if you are using a hotmail account, for some reason, periodically the GOW email address gets added to the blocked list ... I have no idea why ... but when I stop getting notifications it is the first thing I check ... :ugeek:

I have an arcor account and there is definitely nothing in my spam folder. I never had issues of mail not being delivered by that provider. If you are blacklisted you will usually get a mail from the blocking provier saying that you are, at least that is what happened always when a server I administrate got blacklisted.

Does that mean that your mailer logs show that my lost messages were actually accepted by the GMX mail server? If so, I could confront GMX customer support with that.
