An ambitious plan

Postby I.Brattin » Thu Feb 26, 2009 9:22 am

I have an ambitious plan. I am thinking for my next age I will create a memorial age for those who have since left the community or passed away.

Anyone know where there might be a comprehensive list of all those people.

Yes, there was such a discussion on the MOUL forum some months ago. Or maybe it was on UO.

Not knowing which forum or even the section of which forum, it is becoming like a needle in a haystack trying to find that discussion.

I did happen to find a short list on MYSTlore. These are from Cyan's Memorial in Kahlo Pub.

* James "Aquila" Carpenter
* Jim "Dust'ei" Rhodes
* "JDrake"
* "Mo'zie"
* Janet "Pehpsi" Burress
* "Rasmine"
* Rosette Taylor

I also know of CAGrayWolf and Jahuti. I know Dustin is probably still alive but he left the community.

Any other names or a link to that discussion that Chacal mentioned would be appreciated

He reincarnated as ddb174 and is very much active.

Wow I guess welcome back is in order. I was not aware they were the same person. Thanks for clearing that up, D'Lanor

probably, I've been working on a memorial age (tefoonetahn) for a couple of years now in my spare time, it's come up now and then on the various forums.

I wasn't aware someone else was doing a Memorial Age. I'm more then willing to drop mine, it is still in the preliminary design stages right now. All I currently have modeled for it is a single building.

Janet "Pehpsi" Burress was really "Pepsi" by her preference. The spelling was changed in unfortunate submission to trademark issues with the Pepsi Corporation.

I don't see why there should be a monopoly on a memorial age.

Yeah JW I know she preferred Pepsi. The spelling above came from Mystlore. I was prepared to put Pepsi on the Memorial. Offline I don't think there will be copyright issues, someone correct me if I am wrong. Online is another thing entirely and I would expect that I would have to change it if the age was incorporated into Osmo.

And Tweek, Thanks. You are right about the monopoly, at the same time though I didn't want to step on anyones toes either which is why I offered to drop mine.

I'll probably start on the Memorial age in the coming days. I am almost to a point where I am ready for Verson 1 on my first age, tentatively title right now Yaeviev. I will probably suspend further work on it for awhile. The underground has been proving challenging so far.
