Texture Problems

Postby I.Brattin » Fri Mar 06, 2009 2:09 pm

I have practically done everything I can think of and for whatever reason the texture just doesn't show up. I even went back through the tutorial to make sure I didn't forget anything.

Help.

Did I post this in the wrong forum? Or did it get moved?

This would be better for the builders section, but don't worry about it. Someone will move the thread soon.

So, you've:

-Unwrapped the object
-Put the texture on in the UV Image Editor
-Gone into the texture section of the material panel (yellow square with black spots)
-New texture slot, type >> image, and selected your image
-Made sure that MipMap and Interpol are checked
-Gone back to materials (red ball)
-Selected the texture, and changed the mapping mode to UV

Check, and recheck.

Can you email me a copy of the exported Age? Just zip up all of the .prp files for your Age and send them to dvpdiner2 [AT] gmail [DOT] com

I'll take a look and see if there are errors in the object references.

I'm beginning to wonder if its not how its being imported. I imported the mesh from Blender via an obj file. I'm tempted to try importing it into Blender as a nif file instead.

Let me try that, Paradox and if that doesn't work I will send ya the age tomorrow.

Did you texture it inside of Blender?

All texturing must be done in Blender, not another 3D program.

Well I figured it out. On X Y Z I am having to put the it upto 100. Not sure why though its wanting to go that high.

Still even then its not showing up correctly all across the mesh. Two Rooms and the second room is still grey.

When Exporting I noticed this.

[Material Box]
[Layer Box-Box]
-> Using UV map ''
-> Err, Using first UV map

Is this something I need to be worrying about. Could it be the reason its not showing the texture correctly?

Hmm, that happens on all of my objects when they export, and all of those textures show up fine in-game.
