My personal opinion .... yes.

It seems that your blender has a lot more than mine does.

If you choose the second option (when following the wizard) your installation should look like my screenshot ... and you put the GoW plugin files into the "/scripts" folder in the scrrenshot. Just remember ... do NOT put the "src" folder in there ... just its contents (the .py files)
when it comes to Age creation ... "DOH" seems to be my middle name...

I understand now. Then what the heck does the src folder IN blender do anyway? It already has a ton of .py files. I'd laugh if that was the GoW plugin. But still, I'd have to move it out of there anyway. I'll be free about 9 my time tonight. I'll attempt it then.

I just turned off "User Account Control" ... it's just a damn nuisance ... now it's turned off, I don't have any "permission" issues ... ;)

Ah, well, I'm on XP and and single-user-use it aggressively. :9
..so "C:\Program\" (no "s" at the end, apparently) it is, for me and Blender's scripts dir and such in Blender's directory, where they belong. :7

My main computer is not a Windows box, but this 15 years old 50MHz AmigaOS compatible dinosaur and with its ideosyncracies deeply ingrained in me, I really really hate it when applications spew their files over twenty locations across the system, some of them "secret" and don't get me started on the whole registry concept -- I try to keep all files belonging to one app in one place, as far as I can. If I want to get rid of an app, I should be able to just delete its directory and be done with it, but windows design thinks differently. Preferrably I'd have all my applications on a separate partition from the system partition too, but I don't dare going too far with challenging Windows' desire to decide for the user, rather than the other way around. :P

@The-arts-of-harmonizing-with-force:

I believe you may find that that "src" directory IS indeed your first attempted pyprp installation, because I, at least, don't seem to have such a directory under scripts, at the moment. Short for "source code", simply. :7

...well....I uninstalled blender, and it even asked me if I wanted to delete the .blender file (What the heck? My computer didn't even say it existed!) I used the second option like you said....AND IT WAS THERE!!! I did the GoW plugin, and everything went smoothly.

I found a killer glitch too. When I went to the GoW plugin folder I made, I selected all the items, and pressed "Copy." I "Pasted" the items nto the script folder, and it actually pasted it in the samme shape it was in the other folder. It even placed the files above the others ones already there. So I started moving them one by one so I can see them all, but I got tired of it. I them clicked "Arrange by modified," and they all snapped into their proper position. Has anyone else seen that before? I swear it's the first time Pasting ever did that to me.

Thanks for all your help guys. I appreciate it. Now time to start learning how to write.
Btw, I PMed Kato with a little detail about my Age. I was thinking of having my own journal, but he hasn't been on to see my mail yet. Should I go ahead and post a few teasers for my Age? Which section would be best?

Thats nothing unusual. I've had that happen a lot in the past.

Teasers are good, they let everyone know that there really are things cooking, even if they're not released. (That, and the constant nagging by people teased by the teasers might be motivating ;))

At my job, I told my IT guy about that bug, and he said he's never heard of that. Maybe it's a Disneyland area thing....unless you're around that area too.

@ Nadnerb

Already posted a little something in the general discussion. Pics coming soon I hope.

If you have vista then, yes use the second option. Also when you run PyYAML and pycripto etc. you need to right click on the installers and choose the option to run as administrator. If you don't the programs will start flashing messages about being unable to create keys in the registry.
