Installing Python

Postby Justintime9 » Sat May 30, 2009 5:08 am

Yesterday I finally got a new computer. I'm in the process of re-installing everything, but after installing blender, I couldn't figure out how to install python! the website had a bunch of weird file types for the most recent python version, and I don't know how to install it. It's been such a long time since I originally installed blender, they either made it more difficult, or I've forgotten :P

Blender 2.48a does not work with Python 2.6 or higher so make sure you get Python 2.5.4.

The wiki page Installing PyPRP has a direct link to the correct Python installer (the Windows version that is) and the required libraries. Last week I also installed Blender on a different computer and in the process I have updated the wiki with links to the latest working versions.
