Video tutorial - trees

A great video tutorial, utilizing a cript that comes with Blender, to make complex trees more easily

This should help in making a variety of trees in your Age

And a slice of what to expect in Blender 2.5

I find it worrying that in the 'Blender 2.5' video the guy mentionned how he had been using Blender for over 6 years and yet had no idea what were half of the modelling buttons.. :?
I've been using Blender for 3 years now, that these are the buttons I use primarily when moddeling..

Yeah. They're really useful if you can't remember what key brings the tool up.

It's kind of odd, I thought other modelers had buttons to do tasks and Blender was odd because people missed all the little (sometimes fiddly) buttons to do specialized tasks.
Currently getting some ink on my hands over at the Guild Of Ink-Makers (PyPRP2).

Well, blender 2.5 is a total redo of the UI, so it makes sense that it wouldn't be familiar to an experienced user, no?

I kind of feel that much of what he touts as new, isn't new at all... :7

I'm curious about what our resident Caligari user think of the new panel design.. :7

I am actually quite fond of the current setup and GUI.

One part i'm to looking forward to is when you start a new scene, you are immediately confronted with an unusual perspective, forcing to change to a front, side or top perspective.

I do however like the overall feel of it, feels more like a professional animation and modeling suite.

I do agree that it is difficult to find some thing, often searching the web only to find that you missed what you're searching for by one panel
