Is there interest in a weekly chat meeting type thing?

I have a bunch of back-burner projects, and I was thinking about ways to actually motivate myself to finish some of them... something I thought of was--what if everyone who was actively working on some kind of project, be it in the brainstorming stage or final release stages or anything in between, tried to be online in the guild IRC chat once a week to talk shop, vent about Blender, ask for feedback on ideas, post updates/sneak previews, get help with the PRP tools, etc? I mean, the IRC chat can be used for this all the time, but I think a weekly concentrated discussion would be a great progress incentive for me at least, and ensure that the greatest number of people would be online for advice and support.

Is anyone else interested in this? Fill out the poll if so--you can vote for as many days as you like. Oh, and the weekday options are meant to be for the evening, unless fewer people than I think have day jobs :p

OK, so 3-5pm EDT (UTC -4). How does that work for other people who are interested?

That would be 12:00 - 14:00 PDT (UTC-7), and 19:00 - 21:00 UTC (+1 to get BST).

Yep--this seems like a good timeframe for those in the US, at least--is there anyone in non-US timezones who would like to be there but can't make it during that period?

If fine-grained scheduling across timezones is too cumbersome, we could just use Sunday in general as a 'talk shop even more than usual' day, or something

Sounds like an opportunity for the potential Open Source server admins to get together and coordinate their efforts

I suppose, I'd like to focus the meeting-like content on concrete work people are doing with Age creation if possible, but all discussion is of course allowed

And THEN, the few of us that have families and properties seem to want to wait until the 'SOURCE' releases the source and THEN put everything (and everyone) else on the back burner...LOL
