Help please. I downloaded Drizzle today and followed all the directions. The messages said that things were converted. I'm using Drizzle21. Anyway, everything seemed great until I hit launch. It brought up the launcher and gave the message that URU launched, but the screen gave that internet server error. When I hit play, nothing happened..... The game didn't launch and the launcher quit. Am I doing something wrong? There is nothing wrong with my internet connection. I'm using IE8 on Win XP. Any help would be appreciated. I'd love to see what these fan ages look like. :D

Try using your regular Uru shortcut instead of the "Launch" button in Drizzle.

Thanks Chacal. I have two. One is the URUExplorer.exe, that says something about missing a cypython.dll file not found. Then I have a URULauncher that starts but just hangs. Any ideas? Sorry to be a pain.

I know I got rid of the Gametap URU, but I still have the files from open beta.

Edited to add: I downloaded the dll file that I needed. This time it launched but said to reinstall URU. I have the stand alone so I will just download that. When I do, should I redo all the conversion stuff in drizzle?

Hi Sharaya,
use the "UruSetup.exe" to start the game.
And you need no Internet connection to run Uru offline except you want to update your Relto shelf with the "/updateshelf command".

Do you mean a cypython.dll or the cypython22.dll? I have a cypython22.dll in all my installations but no cypython.dll.
From where you downloaded a cypython.dll? I don't think you need it.

You wrote that you have the MOUL files from the open beta. I hope you didn't convert them with Drizzle, a lot of files are missing then.

Hi Old Wolle,

I guess I can't use any of the MOUL files. Sniff sniff. I was able to put my standalone URU and TPOTS and Myst5 on there, but it finds errors with those. Now I wish I hadn't deleted the MOUL off Gametap after they dropped it, or I would have had those files. Grrr.

Oh well. I was so hoping to have Minkata and the pod ages to play with again.

So far, Drizzle is doing well except I can't go up the great stairs due to the missing MOUL files I'm sure. I think I'm going to try all my kid's computers too. I had it installed on theirs too so maybe one of them still has the files.

Edited to say I found 2 folders in my backups with URU launchers in them. One was a mystonline folder and one a URUlive folder. However, only the mystonline one seems to take. But it does say "Error: Error reading file:F:\Program Files\Myst Online\dat\GuildPub-Cartographers.fni: ( F:\Program Files\Myst Online\dat\GuildPub-Cartographers.fni (The system cannot find the file specified) )
Console: stderr:Exception in thread "AWT-EventQueue-0"
Console: stderr:java.lang.NullPointerException

so, I guess I'm sol on the MOUL content. Drat!

There's a bug in Drizzle (or is it the Offline KI? I don't know) that removes the barrier but leaves the invisible blocker at the foot of the great stair.

Me wonder why there is no such invisible barriers for me(and maybe for many others) and that there are barriers for you two ?

Gameplay error(s) ?

The unvisible barriers should vanish when you reach the first time the GZ chamber.

At the present time, there are a least two way to get to the GZ antechamber.

1- The Moul's way through Bevin
2- The Uru solo's way (TPoTS) through Kirel.

I have played through the Uru solo way.

Suggestion: try the Uru solo way with a new avatar.
