irc.guildofwriters.com unreachable

I've noticed that for the past few days the GoW chat has been unreachable because domain name irc.guildofwriters.com cannot be resolved.

Since the people responsible for server administration around here tend to be on that IRC server all the time, I assume that the problem is known. Is it being worked on, or already fixed even?

THe problem is not in my hands to control...

The domain works for some (Paradox) but not for others (me). I've started using the IP 97.107.129.208

The problem is that the person responsible for the domain registrration renewed the domain, but did not renew the sub domains. As soon as we can get a hold of said person, we'll try to get the issue fixed.

Renewing registration for sub domains should not be necessary. For the company I work for I am free to add new virtual hosts like this: <new name>.<company name>.nl. That new name is not automatically propagated to worldwide DNS servers though. If I recall correctly our domain name registrar takes care of that, but we do need to notify them first. I think DNS propagation is what is lacking here.

The problem is apparently fixed. However, some people may experience scattered propagation issues for the next couple of days.
