Transparent lightmap problem

Postby Justintime9 » Wed Sep 30, 2009 4:14 pm

I actually remember having this problem awhile ago, but can't remember the fix. I've tried to find the topic about it, but unfortunatly, I couldn't locate it.

Anyway, I just lightmapped a bunch of objects in my age. In URU, they all look fine except for one; this one is black, and transparent. (even though there's no alpha on the object.) The lightmap is applied correctly to the object, in Map input it's set to UV and Lightmap, and in Map to, it's set to Multiply like it should be. Anyone know what might've caused this? I seem to remember something about the Map to buttons, but I can't put my finger on it...

Only thing I can think of is the 'Amb' button in 'Map to', which should be on. ;)
Guess you've already checked the wiki for new things in latest PyRPP, maybe there is something in there too.

Well, I thought of that, but all my other objects don't have the amb button on, and they still show up in URU. I can't see any difference bettween the one that's messed up, and the ones that work... I did test it with Amb on btw, and nothing changed :P

I just tried completely re lightmapping the object, and it STILL ends up like that. The strange thing is, I'm not doing anything different with that particular object, than with all the other lightmapped objects that worked fine...

... then it sounds like the problem is with the object .... try remaking the object from scratch ...
when it comes to Age creation ... "DOH" seems to be my middle name...

Well, the object was actually sort of complex, so I just copied an un-lightmaped version of the object from a previous blendfile, and after lightmapping it, it worked :D although I'm still a bit curious as to what about that object made it do that...
